If your looking for a simple and effective way to bring the shine back to your vehicles paint, then our exterior detail service is for you. This service consist of a 5 core steps.
Step 1: Decontaminate Rims
To help protect your vehicles paint as much as possible, we’ll start off with doing a through clean of its wheels, tires, and wheel wells. Iron remover is applied to the rims to remove stubborn brake dust that is stuck on the surface, followed up by degreasing the tires to remove any old tire dressing or road contamination. Afterwards, a variety of brushes is used to help remove as much contamination as possible.
Step 2: Wash
Your vehicle will then be foamed with a foam cannon to help remove dirt and grime from the paint surface. This removes the majority of dirt from the paint surface and helps to reduce chances of scratching. After soaking, we’ll treat it to a thorough hand wash to remove the more stubborn tar and grime.
Step 3: Claying
Ever touch your paint and notice it feels rough even after washing?
This step removes that, and leaves your paint feeling silky smooth.
Your whole car will be gone over with a clay bar to remove imbedded contaminants like road tar, grime, bugs ect. and will leave your paint feeling smooth as glass before a protective layer is applied.
Step 4: Protect
After the claying step, your paint will be a pure, clean surface.
But we wouldn’t want that clean paint to immediately be exposed to the elements and potential damage right?

With the prices of used cars increasing as rapidly as they are, detailing your vehicle can help to not only keep it looking its best, but also hold its value. Additionally, if your going to sell a vehicle having it detailed can help to increase its value and attract more buyers than you otherwise would.

There are many different factors that contribute to the cost of detailing your vehicle, such as age, where its stored, and the vehicles overall condition. For example, say you have a small coupe (what my base package is based off of) such as a honda civic that’s been garage kept and is a few years old. Assuming your car meets all of those conditions, it would be the same charge as what the base package starts off at of $250. Now say you have a different honda civic thats been daily driven, has pets frequently in it, and is about 15 years old. The second civic would not only take significantly more time but also products and work to return to its former glory and would hence have a higher cost. These are just a few of the factors that go into determining the cost of having your vehicle detailed. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or are looking for more information regarding an estimate to have your vehicle done.

While it depends on the scratch, generally scratches have an 80-90% removal though they aren’t always able to be removed safely. At Redline, my goal is to improve the appearance of your car as safely as possible in terms of the techniques used. If a scratch is fairly deep. sometimes they cannot be fully removed without removing a significant amount of clearcoat which would be more harm than good to your vehicles paint job. A general rule of thumb (though not always guaranteed) is if you spray water on a scratch and it goes away while the water is on it, it can be removed as it isn’t through the clearcoat. Additionally, scratches that are on top of the car’s paint, (i.e. rubbed against another car/object and paint from the other car rubbed onto your paint) can typically be removed.
